Nova SST and a Researcher at Nova Lincs.
I’m a young researcher pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at NOVA University of Lisbon. My research interests lie in the fascinating realms of global-scale distributed systems, location-aware data, peer-to-peer and edge systems, and security.
I am working within the TaRDIS European Research Project, which aims to develop swarms and decentralised distributed systems applications. In my ongoing research efforts, I plan to focus on adapting data-consistency models to the needs of location-aware data and addressing security and privacy concerns that arise from sharing this kind of data.
Previously worked on the SAMOA Research Project, which focused on designing and implementing overlay networks for P2P systems and data replication systems.
Before my PhD studies, I earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from NOVA FCT and have worked as a teaching assistant and junior consultant.
In my free time, you will find me enjoying one of my favourite activities: mountain biking throughout the countryside, stopping for scenic photography, listening and playing music, reading, and cooking.

Welcome to my photography section! As a hobbyist photographer, I love capturing the beauty of the world around me through my camera lens. My interests lie in outdoor and urban photography, with a particular fascination for plant life and natural scenery. I enjoy exploring different landscapes and capturing the unique details that make them special. Through my photography, I aim to share my love for the world’s natural and man-made wonders with others. You can find some of my works on my Unsplash page, where they are available to download for free.
